Students
are required to be in full uniform
whenever they are on campus (before,
during, and after school). This is the
responsibility of both the student and
his or her parent(s). "It’s in the
laundry" is not a valid reason to be out
of uniform. Students are advised to use
name labels or fabric markers on the
inside of their clothing to identify
personal items.
The school uniform is to be worn for all
school functions including field trips,
sporting events, and other excursions.
Everything that a student wears (with
the exception of undergarments, socks or
leotards, and shoes) is to be purchased
from the uniform supply company.
Therefore, head coverings, hooded
sweatshirts, sunglasses, and large
accessories (e.g., dog collars, studded
jewellery, heavy chains) are not
permitted.
Undershirts must be plain white. Dress
shirts and golf shirts (without elastic
banded) bottoms must be worn tucked in.
Uniform clothing must be worn in a
modest fashion and kept in good repair.
Buttons are to be fastened appropriately
and alterations (including length of
kilts, skirts and shorts) are not
allowed. Sizes must be appropriate for
the student’s body size.
Shorts, skirts, and kilts may be no
shorter than two inches above the knee.
Skirts and kilts are not to be rolled at
the waist. Collared uniform shirts are
to be worn with all uniform sweaters.
For safety reasons, sandals and open
toed shoes are not permitted for
students working in science labs,
technology classrooms, or activity
classes in physical education.
Students who fail to comply with the
uniform code will not be admitted to
class.
Students with uniform infractions will
be given a detention.
Repeated infractions will result in
suspension from school.
Any final decision on the suitability of
student attire rests with
administration.
