Peace
Mentors
These St. Anne’s Students are
willing to Step-up
Last year the students of St. Anne’s
embarked on a new initiative to address
concerns regarding a safe school
environment. The Peace Mentor Team was
born out of this initiative. The Peace
Mentors were chosen by staff, students
and campus ministry as role models of
peace in their school community.
The goal of the Peace Mentors is to
ensure that everyone in the school,
staff and students, feel like they
belong. Their job has been two-fold.
Peace Mentors have mentored and been
available for students experiencing
alienation and social difficulties in
the school. Peace Mentors also created
classroom training programs on school
community awareness which in essence
have challenged the students of St. Anne’s
to "Dare to Care" about their
school and the people in it.

Anti-Bullying Awareness
All students are expected to show
respect for others who share this
learning environment. Students must
show respect for peers, teachers,
educational assistants, secretaries,
custodians, bus drivers and any other staff at the school. Students
should refrain from bullying and any
other form of harassment. This
expectation applies to respecting
visitors from other schools and showing
respect to the members of other schools while visiting their facilities.
Students who fail to show this kind of
respect will face loss of
privileges or suspension.
All students using computers will adhere
to HPCDSB’s Anti-Bullying Policy.
